The East Coast and the West Coast converged this weekend in the Midwest, in particular, downtown Iowa CIty where Jodi Connolly and the Buzz Salon staff hosted a French-cutting class with renowned NYC-based stylist Linda Francipane. Nearly thirty years of experience doing hair and an outrageously funny sense of humor made for some compelling content and visual demonstration during her two-day class. Francipane kickstarted the educational experience with a demo of the French-cutting technique and beautified a couple of models with her shears before you could say, "in a New York second."
Next, Mother Model Management, Modeling Scout MegaGiants, provided some of their trademark beautiful models so the Buzz and Umbrella teams could get cutting the French way under Linda's watchful eye. Everyone brought their A game. In Linda's words, "I am impressed and I am not easy to impress." Hair was flying and music was pumping. It was an absolute blast! In the midst of the organized chaos. Jeff and Mary Clarke, owners of the modeling agency, held an open call for fresh faces from our area so we had the added excitement of lots of young energy milling about the packed salon.
Oh, and did we mention there was also a photo shoot with photographer Khiem Hoang? Oh yeah! Well.... more to come.
